Jennings Randolph Lake
We spent two days at Jennings Randolph Lake. Construction of the lake was completed in 1981, its' primary purpose being flood control. Named after former WV Senator Jennings Randolph, it is located on the north branch of the Potomac River and borders West Virginia and Maryland. It's managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. Cost to camp was $10, and included electric. A beautiful tree lined campground...hardly anyone there. Photo of empty camp sites to the right. We went kayaking on the lake, and Tinsel went too! See photo. She is very good on the kayak...just stands or sits in the front. She also went swimming, and retrieved sticks (actually more like logs). See photo. It was great fun. We only saw one boat on the lake. A couple of photos to the right. We also had a minor problem in the coach portion of the RV. Steve made temporary repairs. We may have to stop in at Elkhart, IN again for repairs on the way west.

I see you boys brought the kayaks. Hope you've been getting a lot of use out of them. Sorry to hear about the coach problem(s). Too bad your RV problems didn't disappear with the Alpine.
ReplyDeleteHi Cole. Fortunately, the problems are minor ones, unlike the Alpine, and easily fixed. So sorry to hear you are selling the plane. We always enjoyed picking you guys up at Paso Airport and eating at Matthews. Hopefully, having to drive all that way up to the lake will not curtail your visits.
