Gettysburg, PA to Ithaca, New York

We had to make an exception, and travel on an Interstate most of the way from Gettysburg to Ithaca, NY in order to spend more time with friends in Caroline, just outside of Ithaca. So, we traveled on Interstate 81 from Gettysburg which is located in southern Pennsylvania all the way from south to north across Pennsylvania to Ithaca which is in southern New York. It was sunny all the way...a great relief to Steve. The drive took about 5 hours with a stop for gas. Photo of Interstate 81 to the right. Speaking of gas, the cheapest we have seen was $2.19/gallon near Indianapolis, Indiana.
